Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on Revised Time-table

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on Revised Time-table

Q Most of the P3-P6 pupils are having CCAs on Tuesday; would there be enough time and food for them to eat?
A: CCAs start at 3pm and hence the pupils will have enough time to eat when they are dismissed at 1.30pm. The school has discussed with the canteen operator, and the canteen operator is able to provide the quantity to cater to the demand. In addition, when Term 2 starts, there will be an addition of two new food stalls which will increase the choice and supply of food.

Q: Will there be enough seating capacity for the P3-P6 pupils on Tuesday lunch time?
A: The school will put more tables and chairs in the canteen to increase the seating capacity.

Q: Can my child go home for lunch on Tuesday and Thursday if he stays nearby and comes back to school for his CCA?
A: Yes, the school will only allow children who stay nearby to go home for lunch. However, please ensure that your child reports punctually for his CCA. Pupils who are not going home for lunch need to stay in the school for lunch. We do not allow pupils to loiter around the estate during this time. Please communicate the same expectation to your children.

Q: Now that the daily dismissal time is 1.30pm and no lunch time provided, would my child be too hungry when he reaches home?
A: As the school has streamlined the dismissal time to 1.30pm every day to shorten the school hours, we have adjusted the recess time half an hour later so the time between the recess and dismissal time is not too long. Parents can pack some snacks, such as buns, sandwiches or cereal bars if they feel that the children need to eat after dismissal time.

Q: Since the dismissal time is 1.30pm, why does the school start the CCAs at only 3pm?
A: This is to give pupils ample time to eat and rest before they start their CCAs the school has also arranged for remedial lessons to be conducted on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. We do not want children who are selected for the remedial lessons to miss their CCAs.

Q Does my child in P1 or P2 need to stay back for his modular CCAs since the school hours are shorter now?
A: No. Modular CCAs for P1 and P2 pupils are included in the time-table.

Q: My child cannot eat so early in the morning, with the reporting time being earlier at 7.15am, how can my child have proper breakfast?
A: The school canteen is opened from 7am. Your child can come to school for breakfast between 7am to 7.15am.

Q: What would the school bus service arrangement be for the new time-table?
A: The school has communicated to the bus service provider to adjust to the school’s new time-table. You will be contacted by your bus service provider regarding the new arrangement.

Q: Will the new time-table affect the school’s notification format?
A: The school’s notification format will be same. The school will issue out notifications on Thursday and collect replies or money if necessary on Tuesday.
